Supporting Students in Transition

If your family is currently in a temporary living situation—whether you are staying with friends, living in a motel, or in a shelter—your child has specific educational rights under the federal McKinney-Vento Act.

Shelbyville Central Schools is here to help remove barriers to your child's education, ensuring they have the tools, transportation, and support they need to succeed.

• The Salvation Army of Shelbyville: Offers the Pathway of Hope program specifically for families with children under 18. This program provides case management to help families break the cycle of crisis and find stable housing.
